Abstract

The Workplace E-Behavior Lab has several projects that focus on social media in an organizational setting. The projects that I participated in are the Social Media Influencer (SMI) project and the Facebook Validity project. Both projects study the role of social media and oftentimes in the lab we focus on selection through social media. The goal of this project is to examine the impact of social media in this type of setting and better understand the role of social media in these settings as well. This project can aid in our advancement in knowledge by creating an understanding of modern-day communication and how it is growing into our everyday lives, including the workplace settings.
